Discoveries: The Journals of Lewis & Clark
In 1803, one of the greatest expeditions of discovery and exploration in American history began: the Corps of Discovery, led by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, became the first American party to travel from the Mississippi to the Pacific and return with invaluable information about the unknown trade routes, natural fauna, and peoples they encountered. Throughout the journey, Lewis, Clark, and the other prominent members of their party kept extensive journals to chronicle the marvels they discovered. Now, you can relive the thrill of adventure and see new horizons for yourself with Discoveries.
Discoveries is a board game of exploration and adventure for two to four players. You and your opponents each play as one of the prominent members of the Corps of Discovery, journeying across North America and recording the routes you travel, the people you meet, and the flora and fauna you encounter. You will race to chart new passages and find new species, recording your findings in your journal, even as you meet American Indian tribes that can aid you in your quest for the Pacific. At the end of the game, the player who has scored the most points through comprehensive discoveries is the winner!
Begin one of the greatest expeditions in American history with Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, John Ordway, and Patrick Gass on their mission to find the Pacific coast. Discoveries invites players to take on the roles of famous explorers as they plot new routes, negotiate with American Indian tribes, and record their adventures in their field journals. The more exciting your journey and the more you discover, the more points you'll earn at the end of the game. Combine your dice to complete objectives or steal your opponents' dice and use them to accomplish your own goals.
